Breakthrough Communication with Difficult People: Tools for Resolving Conflict and Interpersonal Challenges

Perhaps one of the most important things that effects the success of any organization is how well people relate to each other. It is easy to relate to others when things are going well. The real challenge comes when people have conflict with each other or present interpersonal challenges. The ability to understand and managed difficult people in an organization often distinguishes star players from average managers/executives.

This workshop presents a model from Dr. Alibrando’s book –Follow the Yellow Brick Road–that gives clear direction on developing this vital interpersonal skill. The use of the Wizard of Oz story makes the tools easy to remember.

The Strength Deployment Inventory: Know Yourself and Others on Your Team.

The Strength Development Inventory (SDI) is a time-tested and easy-to-understand personality inventory that will help attendees identify their personal strengths in relating to others under two conditions: when things are going well and when they are faced with conflict. The SDI suggests ways that one’s personal strengths may be used to improve relationships with others and how to take a position for effective action. This workshop is especially helpful for teams and partnerships to take together.
